A BOUTIQUE FINN JUHL HOTEL
The combination of inspiring, Danish interior, the Japanese nature and organic, local products
The Finn Juhl hotel in Hakuba is the first of its kind. It has been our mission to create a hotel where Danish interior design constitutes the foundation of a truly unique hotel experience in Japan.
The small town of Hakuba, located in a valley surrounded by the Japanese alps, houses a lodge, that has now been transformed into a beautiful Danish/Japanese design hotel.
The hotel is decorated entirely with Finn Juhl furniture and offers a quality experience in the midst of beautiful surroundings and breathtaking nature. Everywhere the hotel exudes a sense of downplayed elegance - from the soft bedlinen and organic toiletries to the cosy lighting.
The hotel consists of 6 double-rooms, a dining hall and several shared lounge areas and an accompanying bar.
WHAT IS THE STORY OF HOUSE OF FINN JUHL?
In 1998, Finn Juhl’s widow, Hanne Wilhelm Hansen, granted Onecollection the rights to produce Finn Juhl's furniture. Since then, Onecollection has helped protect and carry on the legacy of Finn Juhl, and the furniture is sold all over the world today.
Onecollection already has a strong affiliation with Japan, as part of the Finn Juhl range is produced here. The production of Finn Juhl furniture is thus split between the Danish workshops and the Japanese workshop.
However, the vision for the Finn Juhl work has been even bigger from the onset. That is why stores with an explicit focus on displaying and selling Finn Juhl has opened around the world in recent years. These stores are called House of Finn Juhl. Through House of Finn Juhl we are able to offer people a fully-fledged Finn Juhl experience. Finn Juhl did not just design furniture, he designed entire interiors.
Therefore, we are excited to announce, that we are expanding the Finn Juhl portfolio by opening the first
Hotel House of Finn Juhl.
